Two years ago, I became the youngest person ever elected to citywide office in Berkeley. On the Rent Board, I've been working to advance your interests by supporting affordable housing and voting against rent increases.

Now, I'm running to be your councilmember because the incumbent has neglected, rejected, and disrespected students and our concerns.

AFFORDABLE HOUSING
The incumbent has proposed 7 ways to raise our rents -- I voted against rent hikes. He's refused to fund the affordable housing trust fund with general fund money.

PROTECTING OUR SAFETY
As a Community Service Officer, I helped keep our streets and our friends safe. The incumbent has voted to cut funding from the police & fire departments. I'll restore this funding and make sure SAFETY is our genuine priority.

A TELEGRAPH AVE. FOR ALL OF US

We should make Telegraph a place people can go at all hours. Let's change city law so our favorite places stay open later -- and to attract the businesses we want.

HEARING THE STUDENT VOICE

According to the 2005 commission study, the incumbent had appointed only ONE student out of his 35 commissioners. I will ensure that students are heard; and my commission appointments will represent my district -- because we deserve better!
